College Boot Camp is designed to nurture young students as they become college ready. This program offers guidance and resources necessary for student to excel during high school, college and beyond. College Boot Camp works closely with the youth and their families to construct a tailor made life program that is not limited to academics. We believe that students and parents must apply for college as a team.
Students who are accepted into the College Boot Camp Program will participate in the following:
- Academic Learning: Students will be provided with tutoring, academic workshops in all subject areas, SAT and ACT preparation, personal statement workshops, college application mentoring.
- Physical Boot Camp: Students will be challenged to participate in physical activities that will foster teamwork and confidence. We believe that a healthy body is a healthy mind.
- Student Leadership Opportunities: Students will learn how to be effective leaders, participate in cultural events, plan events, and engage in community service.
College Boot Camp expects students to work to their fullest potential. Students should be prepared to work hard, participate fully in all learning experiences, and contribute to building a positive and supportive community of students. Students need to commit to participating in up to three events per year and workshops during the academic school year. Students need to demonstrate a sense of social responsibility through school/community service activities. Students are encouraged to develop an awareness of community issues.
